>>Sky Photos To Mark 9/11 Anniversary
(New York, NY) -- The 24th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on America is coming up on Thursday and people across the country are being asked to mark the day in a special way. Beth Hillman, the President of the 9/11 Museum and Memorial in New York, is asking us to take a photo of the sky that day and post it to hashtag-remember-the-sky. She notes that many people remember the beauty of the sky before terrorists slammed highjacked jets into the World Trade Center and Pentagon and crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. An art installation at the Memorial commemorates those who were killed. There are nearly three-thousand tiles, one for each victim and each in a different shade of blue, depicting how people perceived the sky that day.
