A ramp at the Route 222/Route 30 Interchange will be shut down for some time this coming weekend.
Look for a traffic switch happening on Route 222 southbound onto new pavement constructed in the median on Friday starting at 7PM until 11AM on Saturday. There will be lane restrictions and rolling stops during the traffic switch.
Also starting at 7PM on Friday, the Route 222 southbound ramp to Route 30 eastbound will be closed until 6AM Saturday morning.
To detour around this, PennDOT suggests taking the following routes:
Route 222 southbound to Route 30 westbound. Get off at the Lititz Pike/Fruitville Pike exit. Proceed to the second traffic signal at Fruitville Pike. Turn left and proceed to Chester Road. Turn left on Chester Road and go east to the Route 30 eastbound ramp
The work being performed is part of the Route 222/Route 30 Interchange Improvement Project. According to PennDOT, the project is expected to be completed by September 2027.
