3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck Food Drive at Oregon Dairy Benefits Local Non-Profits
Collection has started for the “3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck Food Drive” that will take place at Oregon Dairy’s Corn Maze Barn at 1289 Creek Road, Lititz, PA 17543 on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 10 am- 2 pm. In partnership with the Manheim Township Police Department, MT Fire Rescue, MT EMS, and West Earl Police & Fire Departments, Oregon Dairy is collecting non-perishable foods with the goal of collecting 3,000 lbs and $30,000 to donate to three local non-profit organizations: Power Packs Project, Arch Street Center of Lancaster, and Blessings of Hope.
Power Packs Project aims to improve the mental and physical health of children by helping parents provide nutritious meals over weekends when school breakfast and lunch are unavailable to them. Arch Street Center is a day program that provides a safe, caring space for adults living with serious mental illness. The focus of the program is on socialization, recreation, and empowerment of their members. Blessings of Hope is a food dissemination center where large corporations can donate food to help accomplish the goal of zero food waste and giving back to the global community.
The 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck Food Drive Includes:
· 50 trucks and first responder vehicles in attendance
· W Donuts “Dub” Truck and Lori’s Lattes Food Truck from 9am - 12pm
· Weiler Concrete Pump “Stone Slinger” Candy Scramble at 11:30am and 1:30pm for kids 10 and under!
· Helicopter Rides by Chester County Aviation from 10am – 6pm (fee)
· At 2pm – stay for the beautiful convoy of trucks leaving the parking lot
· FREE to attend & Free to Park
