Mary Starks Martin was a retired teacher from Snowflake, Arizona. She unfortunately passed away, but was buried in a very unique-looking casket. Her casket was made in the shape of the blue M&M's cartoon mascot. If you're wondering why, well...it made sense for Mary. Her grandson Billy said she initialed everything with “MSM,” but the cursive capital “S” looked like “&.”
Mary's students started bringing her M&Ms and memorabilia, and she looked at it as part of her success as a teacher. She reportedly had the special casket built years before her death. She also had a funeral with an M&Ms theme, and attendees honored her by dropping the candies on her casket.
