LANCASTER, Penna. (October 28th, 2022) – The Manheim Township Recreation and Park Planning Department is hosting their 6th Annual Halloween Carnival on Saturday, October 29th. The event is open to the public between 1 pm and 4 pm at the Carriage House at Stauffer Park (1241 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA).
The event is packed with carnival games and entertainment for youth of all ages.
With a record number of attendees last year, the MT Parks and Recreation Department will double up the games to allow more fun for all, as well as a pre-paid application for tickets, and two ticket booths.
“With the huge turnout last year, we made some changes to accommodate the larger crowds,” said Manheim Township Recreation Director, Matt Stopa. “We are expanding the carnival to use more of Stauffer Park and utilizing more games for attendee participation. There will be so much to see and do, please join us again this year!”
One of the major highlights of the Halloween Carnival is “Trunk or Treat,” hosted by the Manheim Township Police Department.
“This is one of my favorite events! I look forward to seeing the costumes, the different ways that the vehicles are decorated, and the smiles on everybody’s face,” said Manheim Township Police Chief, Tom Rudzinski. “It’s a great way for people to get out for a few hours and interact as a community. And of course, there is candy!”
Another big highlight of the carnival is the costume contest/parade that starts at 1:30 pm at the tennis courts. Awards will be presented to the best costume in each division (4 & under, 5-8, 9-12, and groups).
Admission to the carnival and Trunk-or-Treat is free, while participation in carnival games and activities require tickets. For 10 tickets, the cost is $5, cash only. Tickets can be purchased at the event, or in advance online at – https://bit.ly/MT-HC-Tix
Parents and guardians do not need to purchase tickets, unless they would like to participate.
