The idea for "The Hershey Dress" actually came a couple of years ago when Paulette Everett, a former fashion designer tried to create a Christmas tree dress made of candy wrappers but ran out of materials.
More recently, she along with some middle school students designed a dress made up of thousands of Hershey chocolate bar wrappers! Gathering the materials for the dress took a good bit of time. Paulette reached out to to her fellow colleagues and students for some help. Basically eat a bunch of Hershey bars and bring in the wrappers.
The wrappers are individually stitched in several areas with floral designs. Paulette has been in contact with the Hershey Story Museum about having the dress displayed there.
