WalletHub conducted a study that put PA on a bad list! One of the worst states to drive in! The study used 4 factors: Cost of ownership & maintenance, traffic & infrastructure, safety, and Access to Vehicles & Maintenance. Then they were subdivided into different categories like Average Gas Prices and Share of Rush Hour Congestion.
PA was in the bottom 10 states (#44 out of 50). Rhode Island, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, California, and Hawaii were also ranked the worst states to drive in. The best state to drive in according to the study is Texas. Now PA did rank as one of the top 10 states when it comes to Access to Vehicles & Maintenance, so at least we’re able to get our cars fixed pretty easily in our state.
