The Federal Taphouse in Downtown Lancaster closed back in March due to the lockdowns and never reopened. The restaurant has now been sold to Tony & Rebecca Lyristis (who own Trio Bar & Grille in West Hempfield Township), and Dennis Lyristis (who owns Antonio's Pizza House in Lancaster City).
They haven't come up with a name for the new restaurant yet but they did say it will be a 'public house' offering casual dining that will cater to lunch and and happy hour crowds. They will keep the pizza oven but they will be reducing the 100 featured beers on tap down to 60. The Federal Taphouse, which will go by a new name will re-open sometime early this year.
