It’s back-to-school time, but it certainly isn’t the same as a typical year. That’s why families have to mentally prepare themselves for a “new norm.” Students that are heading into the classroom have to deal with face masks, redesigned rooms, and worrying about getting COVID-19. Those that are distance learning also need adjustments.
Here are some tips for everyone to get set mentally for the school year.
·Create an at home learning space
·Focus on skills not assignments
·Develop a social life with your kids
·Stay active with the kids
·Practice gratitude and focusing on the present
·Show your children how you’re processing emotions
·Limit screen time
