We're teaming up with our friends at the Humane League of Lancaster County and doing a new feature with my show every Friday afternoon at 4:15pm. 'FURever Home Friday'.
To kick off this new feature, we met Scooby! He is an estimated 1 year old American Pit Bull Terrier. He was found as a stray by police at the end of February and taken to a local vet hospital. They reached out to see if we could help find him a home.
We are unsure of who he lived with in the past, so we would recommend the whole family to come meet him. From what we have seen he LOVES to meet new people. We introduced him to another dog at the shelter and he was very playful with her. Each dog is different, so without a history we are not sure how he may do with other dogs, but feel he may do well with a dog that matches his energy level and will play with him.
He loves to play with toys and is very active. He would do well with a family who loves to hike and spend time outdoors. One of our wonderful volunteers took him on a dog day out to the outlets and park yesterday and he did really well! He enjoyed meeting new people and loved to give them kisses! The volunteer said he walked nicely on a leash for him.
His adoption fee is $125 and he is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
