Cardi B is celebrating her legal victory by teasing new music and revealing a new album cover.
Immediately after she left the courtroom on Tuesday, September 3, Bardi shared how happy she was by posting a TikTok video of herself dancing to an unreleased song, which appears to be called "Bodega Baddie." In the clip, the Bronx bombshell stripped off pieces of her final courtroom ensemble and twerked without pants. For extra measure, Cardi gave her haters the finger right before the video ended. The song could be one of 23 tracks that may appear on her sophomore album.
In addition to the new preview, Cardi also released a new version of her album cover. She shared a couple of alternate versions of the cover recently, but this one is bound to impress fans. The latest rendition of her album's cover was inspired by the hilarious facial expressions she made during her testimony at the trial over her civil lawsuit. In the now-viral clip, the plaintiff's attorney asked the "Toot It Up" rapper if his client, Emani Ellis, was bigger than her. Cardi responded by pointing to her eyes and then Ellis before saying, "I mean.. look."
"I mean look!… BY POPULAR DEMAND, the court room edition of AM I THE DRAMA? is available NOW store.CARDIB.com," she wrote in her Instagram post.
Cardi B didn't let the trial get in the way of the rollout for her upcoming album, Am I The Drama? In fact, the dramatic scenes from the trial may have helped her cause. Bardi finally announced the project earlier this year after teasing it for years. She fueled the hype by dropping songs like "Outside" and, most recently, "Imaginary Playerz."
Am I The Drama? drops September 19.
