Khloe Kardashian recently unveiled a series of before and after snaps following a surgery done to remove a tumor off her right cheek in 2022.
According to E!News, The Kardashians star received injections (after her tumor was removed) to fill the indentation left by the cancerous spot.
"As a result of the surgery, and the tumor my incredible doctor removed, I ended up with an indentation in the side of my face. I waited 9 months after surgery to get the indentation filled," she shared alongside before and after photos posted to her Snapchat on Friday (October 11).
She continued, revealing why she had to wait multiple months to receive injections following the operation.
"We had to make sure medically everything was safe and my doctor gave me the go ahead." The Good American founder is no stranger to skin cancer, and unfortunately had to have a melanoma spot removed from her back as early as age 19.
Then, in 2022, she noticed a raised mark on her cheek that she initially thought was a pimple, only to get it biopsied and find out that it was a cancerous tumor. Upon removing the tumor, the 40-year-old standout shared a series of snaps to her story that depicted a large bandage across her cheek, explaining:
"I never imagined that this tiny spec would turn into skin cancer. And I can't fathom what could have possibly happened had I not gone to the doctor to get it looked at."
Kardashian is now cancer free, but continues to encourage fans to "reach out to their dermatologist and get yearly skin cancer checks."
