A Live Animal Found in Claw Machine at Pennsylvania Frozen Custard Shop!

Imagine playing one of those arcade claw machines that has a pile of stuffed animals in it…and as you go to move the claw over to drop it down and try and grab one of those stuffed toys, you see a pair of eyes looking at you and that animal moving. That’s what happened at a frozen custard shop in Hollidaysburg PA called 'The Meadows' when someone spotted a groundhog in the machine!!

It actually took an army of people to get that groundhog out of the machine. Employees first called the claw machine owners, who were too skittish. Next came the police, who called the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Game wardens opened up the claw machine and released the groundhog into a nearby field. The manager of the frozen custard shop isn't quite sure how the groundhog got into the building but says it must have found a way up the game chute into the machine. The groundhog has since been named 'Colonel Custard'. Staff and owners at the frozen custard shop made T-shirts that read “Respect the Groundhog,” and they’re working on more promotional ideas, such as naming one of their frozen treat flavors for Colonel Custard.
