A statue of John A. Sutter was recently removed in Sacramento in light of an ongoing situation surrounding his life and legacy. Sacramento was founded by General Sutter and is also home to his fort from back in the gold rush era. Today, General Sutter Inn in downtown Lititz is removing its statue, and is also looking into changing the name entirely to either Bulls Head Public House, or Lititz Spring Hotel.
