(Harrisburg, PA) -- Governor Wolf says the Pennsylvania Department of Education is helping welcome refugee families from Ukraine with school-age children. In a recent statement he says he knows state residents will be extraordinarily generous in embracing new neighbors. PDE Secretary Noe Ortega says like all students, refugee children are entitled to appropriate special education services. The Commonwealth is home to more than 122-thousand Ukrainians, the second most of any U.S. state.
