(Harrisburg, PA) -- A new charter school is coming to Harrisburg this year. The PA STEAM Academy is going to be welcoming about 120 students at the old HACC building on Third and Reily streets this September. The Harrisburg School District attempted to block the creation of the school, but the State Charter School Appeal Board voted unanimously yesterday to allow the school to begin this year. Plans to create the new STEAM Academy in Harrisburg started to be made in 2018.
