Chloe x Halle delivered some unbelievable harmonies at the 2020 BET Awards.
This Sunday (June 28), the R&B sister duo commanded the BET Awards stage with an angelic performance of their two smash hits, “Forgive Me” and “Do It.” Recreating the dark and moody vibes from the song’s original music video, Chloe and Halle delivered jaw-dropping melodies and high notes while performing their newest single “Forgive Me,” but kept the presentation cute wearing flashy, leather outfits while busting out sophisticated dance moves.
Without missing a single beat — or note — the sisters switched things up a bit by swapping their grim stage design for a bright, candy-apple red background to sing “Do It.” For their second performance of the night, the sisters laced up in fashionable white ensembles as they delivered even more synchronized choreography.
Tonight’s performance comes weeks after the singers and real-life siblings unveiled their newest album, Ungodly Hour, on which both “Forgive Me” and “Do It” appear. The effort features 13 tracks from the duo, including catchy deep cuts like “Tipsy,” “Wonder What She Thinks of Me,” and “ROYL.”
Speaking about the inspiration behind the album’s name, Chloe revealed in a radio interview, “We called it Ungodly Hour because it’s okay to not be perfect all the time. We wanted to challenge the idea of us being these perfect angels that everybody has this image of us in their head.”
As yet, Chloe x Halle are still in the running for the Best Group honor at the 2020 BET Awards.
