Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber are worried about the wellbeing of their son, Presley Gerber.

Weeks after the 20-year-old shockingly revealed a tattoo of the word “misunderstood” on his face, a source tells Us Weekly that the model’s parents have been “besides themselves” with concern. “He’s been sent to a rehab-like program in the past,” the source says of Presley in the magazine’s upcoming issue. “Presley’s hanging out with a group of people who’ve been negatively impacting him.”

Another insider expressed similar sentiments to E! News. “Cindy and Rande definitely concerned about their son. They truly want to make sure he is okay,” the source shared. “He has just fallen off the beaten path. He has been in treatment before but they are pushing for something more serious. They want to make sure he's in a good mental state and are closely watching him.”

As previously reported, not many followers were genuinely bothered with Presley’s face tattoo. At one point, the backlash got so out of control that he took to Instagram Live with a warning for anyone else who has something negative to say about it.

“I just wanted to come on here and be like, if anyone has s—t to say to me about this or anything else and my family or how I grew up or anything,” Presley hit back. “I will give you my address, I promise, and you can come say it to my face.”

Earlier in the clip, Presley explained he got the ink because “I don’t feel very understood, I guess," adding, "If I thought this was going to ruin my face or I didn't want this, I wouldn't have done it. … It says misunderstood, because that’s how I felt my entire life.”
