The Thing Macklemore Did That Made Him Think He Was An A-Hole

Macklemore stopped by Elvis Duran and the Morning Show to talk about his first solo record since 2005. While his two previous records, The Heist and This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, were created in collaboration with producer Ryan Lewis, Gemini is a departure from that partnership.

New music wasn’t the only thing the 34-year-old rapper talked about during his visit, though. Macklemore also opened up about "the last time he was an a-hole” with Elvis, and his story is pretty relatable.

He explained with a laugh what brought on his wrath:

"It was probably with somebody delivering me food from Post Mates. She walked with a smoothie in 80 degree weather and it took about 45 minutes and it came to me as like this liquid [soup]. Yeah, it was bad. I looked back on it and I was like ‘I probably could have handled that better.'"

We love Macklemore’s honestly, as well as the fact that he uses Post Mates just like the rest of us. He shouldn’t feel too bad about being upset over his smoothie soup either because as Elvis said, "It’s okay to be an a-hole every once in a while as long as you make a note saying, ‘Okay, I was an a-hole.'"

Gemini drops on September 22nd. We can’t wait to see what Macklemore has in store for us on this highly anticipated album.
